✧ Meet the Artist ✧

Hello! I am Kari Raley, the sole soul behind Raley Design Studios. I paint the art, cut the gemstones, design & make the jewelry, take the photos, pack & ship, and everything in between. I consider myself a self-taught artist. My "studios" are located at home in Southern California with my husband and fur-kids.

In 2016, I started my gem and jewelry journey at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, CA, where I earned my diplomas in Jewelry Design (drafting & hand rendering), Jewelry Design & Technology (CAD/CAM), Graduate Gemologist, Pearls Graduate, Applied Jewelry Professional, plus both Basic and Intermediate Jewelry Repair & Setting. While attending GIA, I also started my journey into lapidary work and completely fell in love. I endeavor to artfully cut and shape the material to capture and frame the scenery within each stone.

Armed with my new knowledge and skills, in March 2019 I started my own company, Raley Design Studios LLC, where I'm able to combine my passions for art, design, and gemstones. If I'm not creating, I'm not happy.
