Named for the region in which it was found (Larvik, Norway), this material is a mix of feldspars — anorthoclase feldspar and labradorite plagioclase feldspar — giving this stone its sultry bluish-grays, black flecks, and that dreamy pale blue to pale greenish-blue flash called labradorescence.
